VasQ™

Extravascular support for upper-extremity arteriovenous fistula creation. VasQ™ is an extravascular support device used during arteriovenous fistula creation. Its nitinol external support is designed to address haemodynamic and mechanical stresses at the anastomosis and support the remodelling of the fistula during maturation.

Key Features & Clinical Benefits

Designed in collaboration with cardiologists to solve the most common challenges in radial hemostasis.

Tapered Flow Transition

VasQ incorporates a tapered venous transition designed to support a more stable flow profile through the arteriovenous anastomosis. The arterial arch is designed to guide arterial flow towards the vein, helping to maintain the intended geometry and flow transition following fistula creation.

Mechanical Reinforcement

The external support structurally reinforces the juxta-anastomotic segment of the fistula. Its mechanical reinforcement is designed to reduce vessel wall tension associated with excessive transmural pressure while supporting the anastomotic configuration following surgery.

Nitinol External Support

The nitinol external support is designed to guide remodelling at the anastomosis and promote outward remodelling downstream. VasQ remains in place following AVF creation, providing continued external support during fistula maturation and beyond.

Product Overview

VasQ™ is an implantable extravascular support device used during the surgical creation of upper-extremity arteriovenous fistulas for vascular access. Positioned externally around the arteriovenous anastomosis, VasQ combines a tapered venous transition, arterial arch and nitinol external support structure. The device is designed to address both haemodynamic and mechanical stresses associated with AVF creation, while retaining the intended configuration of the anastomosis following surgery. The tapered geometry is designed to support a more stable flow profile, while the external structure provides mechanical reinforcement around the juxta-anastomotic segment. The nitinol support also guides remodelling at the anastomosis and promotes outward remodelling downstream during fistula maturation. VasQ is implanted as part of the AVF creation procedure and remains in place to provide continued extravascular support during the post-operative maturation period and beyond.
