How TauroLock™ can maintain your vascular access lines The TauroLock™ portfolio has been trusted for over 20 years to reduce vascular catheter infections, biofilm, and occlusions.
Biofilm Eradication and Prevention Taurolidine the key ingredient of TauroLock™ has demonstrated the ability to eradicate biofilm¹ and helps prevent biofilm formation within the catheter lumen.¹
Infection Prevention TauroLock™ ‘can reduce the risk of catheter infection approximately fourfold when used prophylactically.’ 1 It has been shown to be active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It also exhibits antifungal activity, offering broad- spectrum antimicrobial protection.¹
Occlusion Prevention TauroLock™-U25.000 incorporates taurolidine, citrate, and urokinase to prevent clotting, with weekly use reducing catheter exchanges and thrombolysis.2
By integrating antimicrobial and anti-occlusive properties into a single solution, TauroLock™ supports a proactive, prevention-focused approach to vascular access management.
