November 18, 2019

  • On Friday 15th November, Kimal employees welcomed Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to the Company’s manufacturing facility in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, where Her Royal Highness was given insight into Kimal’s Innovation Program, as well as the Company’s manufacturing process.

Kimal has been supplying hospitals across the world with customised procedural solutions and vascular access devices for over fifty years; and since its inception in 1964, the Company has been dedicated to reducing patient risk through bringing innovative products to market. The Princess Royal visited Kimal in order to learn more about the Company’s research and development efforts, and to hear more about its dedication to improving patient outcomes through innovation.

Alan Press, Kimal’s Executive Chairman, and son of founders George and Diana Press, hosted The Princess Royal and demonstrated his own passion for delivering high quality products for the benefit of the patient, during his tour of the facility. Kimal employees within the Company’s Production, Operational and R&D teams were also given the opportunity to demonstrate how the Company’s procedure packs are manufactured, and speak of their own passion for the patients who receive the products that they manufacture every day.

“It was an honour to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to Kimal, particularly given her interest in our culture of innovation,” says Alan. “Kimal is committed to innovation, and providing smarter solutions; to bring greater benefits to the customers we serve, who are often in a critical condition.” “The importance of what each of us does at Kimal has been demonstrated in situations close to home, with some of our employees, including myself, receiving treatment with a Kimal product.”
