Supporting our Communities

December 1, 2020

  • Here at Kimal, we are proud of our commitment to supporting charities, and with only 3 weeks until Christmas we’ve been busy thinking about what we can do to support our local communities during the festive season.

Our ‘No Child Goes Hungry’ Appeal

Thanks to Marcus Rashford MBE, child poverty in the UK is in the spotlight; and the campaign for free school meals during the Christmas holiday period is well underway.

After many of our staff came forward asking what we can do to help, we are pleased to announce that we have begun working with Newstarts, a local food bank in Bromsgrove, and are raising funds so that we can buy and deliver food straight to the team for distribution to those who need it.

Newstarts currently provides between 50 and 70 food parcels every week to both families and individuals. Most of the food parcels are provided through a referral system using local agencies who are working with the families. Since March of this year, they have provided almost 140,000 meals to those they are serving through their food parcels. The charity is also working with a number of partners to ensure that between them, no one falls through the gap”.

    Elf Day at Kimal

I’m sure everyone will agree, it’s scary how quickly this year is going. Christmas will soon be upon us!

This year, we are supporting the Alzheimer’s Society by holding our very own Elf Day on Friday 4th December. This will be an opportunity to have a bit of fun, whether working on site or working from home, by dressing up to raise money for people affected by dementia.

Why not use our generator to find out your own elf name!
